Salted Caramel Apple Overnight Oats
Ugh this may be my new favorite overnight oats, and I know I keep saying that every time I make a new flavor, but damn!!! The secret to this one is the caramel, which is made with just almond butter, coconut oil, and maple syrup. So good!!
Ingredients (serves 2-3)
Oats
1 1/2 cup old fashioned/rolled oats
1 1/2 cup milk of choice
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 apple, chopped
Salted Caramel
1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
1 1/2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tablespoons almond butter
1. Mix oats in a medium bowl or jar, and refrigerate overnight.
2. In the morning, make the caramel. Heat ingredients in a small pan or pot on medium-low heat. Stir frequently until a thick caramel sauce forms, about 5 minutes.
4. If you’re eating oats in a jar, layer with oats, caramel, more oats, and the remainder of your 1/2 apple, chopped up, and more caramel. If you’re eating in a bowl, just top your oats with the rest of your chopped and the caramel!
