About Me
Hi! My name is Carina Wolff, and I’m a health and wellness journalist and food blogger. I'm a "Kaleifornia" girl who was born and raised in Los Angeles, but I went to New York University to study journalism and psychology. I have always had a passion for writing, but it was at NYU that I started to become interested in nutrition and healthy cooking. During my senior year in college, I started Kale Me Maybe to help others learn about nutrition through easy-to-make and tasty recipes.
I don’t follow any specific dietary restrictions, as I am a firm believer in moderation and balance, and that is what works best for my specific body. That being said, all my recipes use wholesome and nutritious ingredients, and they contain foods that will help nourish and strengthen both your body and mind. Although I personally don't subscribe to a specific diet, many of my meals are vegan and gluten-free friendly, but they are also meant for all types of eaters!
My philosophy on healthy eating is that it’s a lifestyle, and not one that is created overnight. My food is meant to inspire you to eat the types of foods that give you the most benefits, but in the hopes that you will also crave them and enjoy not only eating them, but making them.
My passion lies in educating people about eating well, so I started Kale Me Maybe to help share this knowledge and creativity with others. When I'm not blogging, I spend my time writing articles for websites like Bustle, Reader's Digest, FabFitFun, Simplemost, Dermstore, and more. I am also the author of two cookbooks, The Spiralizer Recipe Book and Plant Protein Recipes That You'll Love (Simon & Schuster).
Fitness is a big part of a healthy life, and when I'm not cooking or writing, you can find me doing yoga, pilates, and hiking. I also love reading (specifically YA and historical fiction as well as books that have to do with psychology/philosophy), traveling the world, and exploring local mountains and beaches.
I hope you enjoy my blog, and feel free to reach out anytime with comments, questions, or even brilliant kale ideas! You can email me at carinabwolff@gmail.com or use the form on my contact page.
